About the Conference
The One Health Conference 2026: Translational Frontiers in Discovery, Diagnostics and Therapeutics is an international forum dedicated to advancing the integrated understanding of human, animal, and environmental health. About Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology
Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET), formerly Thapar University, is a deemed-to-be-university located in Patiala, Punjab. Founded in 1956 by Mr. Karam Chand Thapar, the institute is spread over a sprawling 250-acre campus and holds NAAC A++ accreditation. Widely recognized as one of India's oldest and finest educational institutions, TIET consistently ranks among the country's top engineering colleges, featuring in the 851–900 band of QS World University Rankings 2025 and securing the 29th position in NIRF Engineering Rankings 2024. About Department of Biotechnology
The Department of Biotechnology at TIET was established in 1999 with support from the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The department has since evolved into one of the leading centers for Biotechnology education and research in India, offering UG, PG, and Ph.D. programs with cutting-edge curricula in frontier areas such as cancer biology, drug discovery, bioinformatics, nanobiotechnology, and environmental biotechnology. The B.Tech. Biotechnology program holds NBA accreditation for six years and offers three twinning programs with Tel Aviv University (Israel), George Mason University (USA), and Queensland University (Australia), providing students valuable international exposure. The department is supported by state-of-the-art research infrastructure, including the TIFAC-CORE center, Food-Security Center and STEP facility, fostering experiential learning and entrepreneurship among students. Thus, the Department of Biotechnology at TIET stands as a vibrant hub for both academic excellence and pioneering research.
